Congratulations to Arte Borikua, they just celebrated their second anniversary on Saturday May 24, 2014. The owners Vidal and his wife Wanda have been doing an outstanding job in maintaining this valuable cultural venue. They help preserve the cultural traditions of the Hispanic community in Central Florida. They invite local artists to come and present workshops and exhibit their work. They also present concerts, theatrical shows and they are looking to add some comedy as well. Anthony Velazquez and New World Music School were recognized with an award for their outstanding contributions to the arts in the community. Students and teachers of NWM performed brilliantly as the audience sang and clapped along. There were many local performers such as Son Montao, Jataca, Hector Canales, Felix Nieves and others.
